Hoe laat is het?

Telling the time in Dutch is a little 'complicated'. Most languages divide the clock into two halves. However, in Dutch we divide the clock into 4 quarters, meaning we use both the full hour and the half hour as references. I made this overview to make it a little easier.


When Would You Use This?

When making a doctor's appointment. For example, doctors may suggest different times and expect you to make a quick decision (see one of my Victor posts and stories for more context).
